Outgoing Ferrari Formula 1 driver Felipe Massa will be making a brief stopover in the Philippines today, with a meet-and-greet to be staged later by Shell Philippines at the SM Mall of Asia Main Atrium. Since it has been announced that he will be departing Ferrari at the end of the 2013 season, we look back at the career of Ferrari's longest-tenured driver after Michael Schumacher.
186 - The number of races so far in which Massa was powered by a Ferrari engine. Actually, all the way to the end of the 2013 season, Massa will have driven only Ferrari-powered cars his entire F1 career, starting with his debut in Sauber in 2002 (Sauber was supplied with Ferrari engines then).
132 - The number of races Massa has driven for Ferrari. Only erstwhile teammate Schumacher tops him with 179.
15 - The number of pole positions claimed by Massa for Ferrari. Only Schumacher (58) and Nikki Lauda (23) have secured more pole positions for the Italian team.
11 - The number of race victories under Massa's belt for Ferrari. Only three drivers have won more times for the team: Schumacher (72), Nikki Lauda (15) and Alberto Ascari (13).
All in all, Massa has stood on the podium 36 times, set 14 fastest race laps, and scored a total of 756 points. With Massa promising to "push as hard as possible with Ferrari" for the final races this season, these numbers can still go up.
Best of luck for the rest of the season, Felipe, and best wishes on your future endeavors.
