We’re excited for Forza Horizon 6. You’re excited for Forza Horizon 6. Anyone who’s familiar with the franchise is excited for Forza Horizon 6. The hype is absolutely real.
Each one has been a hit so far, but what has us looking forward to playing the next more so than before is because of the setting. In case you hadn’t heard yet, Forza Horizon 6 is set in Japan. The home of all things JDM. The melting pot for car culture. It’s a haven for car enthusiasts.

The game will also feature some rather amazing cars, including Toyota Gazoo Racing’s latest V8 masterpiece, and of course, the beautiful Saleen S7 hypercar you see in the photos here.

The thing is, though, Playground Games just dropped new Forza Horizon 6 in-game footage, and it has us excited even more. There’s a nine-minute video—eight minutes and 34 seconds, to be exact—that’s been shared on IGN’s YouTube channel, and it’s pure bliss. The entire clip just shows the Saleen S7 you see here roaming the Land of the Rising Sun.

It’s complete with clips through both Japan’s rural highways and the iconic Shuto Expressway. Some areas of Tokyo can be seen, and of course, a lot of sakura trees along the way. The developers did start teasing Forza Horizon 6 with that, so the game better have plenty of cherry blossoms.
What some people noticed, however, is the lack of traffic and the absence of pedestrians even in the city. IGN pointed out that the traffic level has been reduced and NPCs deactivated, so the actual game shouldn’t feel as desolate as this preview.
Anyway, you can check out the in-game footage yourself. Best eight minutes and 34 seconds I spent today, if I’m being honest.
