Hot Wheels has unveiled a new toy as part of its multi-year collaboration with Formula One: a limited-edition, 1:64-scale replica of the fictional APXGP racer from the F1 movie.
The small F1 racer will feature the same black/gold livery and number seven logos as the movie car, complete with a miniature Sonny Hayes in the cockpit. No mention if he’ll be able to bark instructions at the pit crew in the inaugural Grand Prix du Carpet.

The set will come with three sets of Pirelli P Zero tires to pretend to burn through and then complain about on the radio, plus a protective ‘Kar Keepers’ clamshell case to keep the most stringent of collectors happy.

Pre-orders started on the eve of the movie’s launch in Britain for £30 (about P2,300) per set. Far cheaper than the Mercedes-AMG GT63 which commemorates the APXGP team, we might add.
