The hype train has reached its final stop. Suzuki Philippines has finally launched the all-new Jimny locally, following several months’ worth of leaks and speculation.
In case you haven’t heard yet, the 2019 Jimny will be available in the Philippines in four official variants, with prices ranging from P975,000 to P1,095,000. All units will come packing a 1.5-liter gasoline engine capable of 100hp and 130Nm of torque, mated to either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission.
Now that the basic specs and prices are out of the way, let’s talk about the little SUV’s looks. The latest Jimny definitely has a larger on-road presence than its predecessor, and its design has a boxier thing going on. We love the application of matte-black plastics throughout the vehicle as it perfectly complements the car’s available colors (especially ‘Kinetic Yellow’).
Inside, there’s plenty of hard plastics and an emphasis on tactile feel (save of course for the touchscreen infotainment system). Just like in the previous Jimny, the cabin has a simple utilitarian vibe to it—it’s very rugged and industrial, and if you didn’t mind the use materials in the last one, you certainly won’t mind now.
Enough words, though. We’re guessing you’d rather let actual photos of the Jimny do the talking. Anyway, below are all the images—every nook, cranny, and angle worth checking out—of the all-new Jimny. Enjoy.
