TV host Kim Atienza’s latest tattoo is a true testament to his passion for motorcycles: It’s an image of a Harley-Davidson Knucklehead engine, which was produced by the American motorcycle company from 1936 to 1947.
“3 months process, 12 hours in, my realistic knucklehead tattoo finally done,” wrote Atienza in his Instagram post.
“Sulit ang sakit! Broom brooooom potato potato potato potato...”

The Knucklehead engine is so called because its rocker boxes resembled knuckles on a clenched fist. As the replacement to Harley-Davidson’s Flathead side-valve engine, it was the brand’s first big V-twin to have an overhead-valve layout. This design minimized overheating and allowed the Knucklehead to produce more power than its predecessor. The E version generated 37hp, while the EL made 40hp. At launch, it had a displacement of 61 cubic inches; in 1941, this was increased to 74 cubic inches.
Atienza credited DSLVNDREW of 55Tinta as the artist behind his tattoo.
