The luxury subcompact crossover segment is in a bit of an awkward position in the market, for lack of a better term. There’s a reason some brands have left the said segment and taken their resources elsewhere.
See, small crossovers are usually intended for people on a budget. The buyers with money to spare, meanwhile, tend to go for either premium sedans or the more lavish, bigger SUVs.
It seems Lexus, however, didn’t bother with any of that. It built the LBX, anyway, and we were fortunate enough to see it land in our market last year. Now, the question is this: Does it have a place in our market?
