Lotus is currently chasing financial stability in the guise of two-ton EVs, but along has come a ‘remastered’ Esprit supercar to remind us why we loved the British company and its lightweight cars in the first place.

Built by a new start-up called Encor, it mixes early Series 1 style with later V8 power, a carbon-fiber body, and modern-day tech. Take. Our. Money!

Although, on the subject of cash, one of these Encors will cost you £430,000 (about P33.77 million). And that’s before you’ve bought the donor car and paid the taxes. Ouch. Is it worth it? Watch the video below and then have your say in the comments...
