Christmas came early for the Los Angeles Lakers as star point guard and forward Luka Doncic gifted brand-new electric bicycles to everyone on the team and staff.
And those weren’t just any e-bikes. From the pictures and videos, it looks like the Slovenian hooper purchased over 100 Pedal AWD [S] bikes. These two-wheelers pack some serious performance, with dual motors, adjustable suspension systems, and a riding range of up to 128km. The Pedal AWD [S] also packs a zippy top speed of 58kph—now, that’s one way to get around Los Angeles.
Each of those bikes sticker for a hefty $3,350 (around P196k) before taxes. With over 100 units given out to the Lakers organization, Doncic spent at least P19.62 million for these gifts. He’s averaging close to nine assists this season—of course, he’s generous.

But that’s not to say he hasn’t been kind to himself. Earlier this month, Doncic drove into his home arena in a P300 million Bugatti Mistral. The world’s fastest open-roof car seems like a fitting ride for the all-star, but maybe he’ll take his Pedal to the Lakers’ Christmas-day game against the Houston Rockets.
Apart from the Mistral, Doncic has been building quite the garage since he entered the NBA in 2018. He’s been spotted with a Porsche 911 and a Panamera, as well as a vintage Ford Bronco and a Chevy Camaro. You have to give it to the guy, he’s got taste.
