The wait is nearly over: The all-new Top Gear returns on May 29, and we can share some details about what you can expect from the first episode.
In celebration of 1986 classic Top Gun--which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year--Chris Evans heads to Nevada, USA, to pit the 645hp Dodge Viper ACR against the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 driven by Sabine Schmitz. Cue roof-mounted guns.
Elsewhere, Matt LeBlanc takes the manic Ariel Nomad into deepest Morocco for some fun, while back on British soil, both he and Evans take a rain-soaked road trip to Blackpool in a pair of roofless Reliant Rialtos. Yup, it’s time for a UK-versus-US challenge.
And we can confirm that Episode 1’s first studio guests will be none other than The Social Network and Batman V Superman star Jesse Eisenberg, and Michelin-starred chef Gordon Ramsay.
