While concept cars aren't always drivable, these do show us the direction a certain carmaker wants to take in the future. From there, companies take note of the concept's reception and eventually decide if it will turn it into a production model.
Conversely, concept cars can also serve as a 'teaser' for a new generation model. Take the Nissan Hyper Force, for example. We saw it in the metal during the Japan Mobility Show last October 2023. It was a surprise, for sure, and it was a treat for a lot of folks there.
