Hate parallel parking? You’d wish your car could transform like this Lego does

The parking spots get smaller each time but the car keeps doing it in two turns

Parallel parking is arguably a must-learn skill. That said, it can also be a chore that some drivers wish they’d never have to do. Understandable, as it’s way easier to back up into a slot or to drive straight into one. Why go through all that trouble just to park your car, right?

To be fair to those people, though, it’s not all just about skill. The sizes of both the car and the parking slot will also determine how easy or hard the parallel-parking job will be. That’s demonstrated clearly in this video from YouTube channel Brick Technology.

In the said clip, a remote-controlled Lego car is being parallel-parked over and over in a parking slot. The catch here is that the slot gets smaller and smaller every time, yet the car still manages to park in just two turns. How is this possible? Engineering, to put it simply.

You see, the Lego car in the video can actually be reassembled and reengineered to help it fit inside the increasingly smaller parking spots. It’s shown here that merely decreasing the turning radius of the car can help it parallel-park in a smaller spot.

As the parking space continues to get smaller, however, more modifications are required. It gets to the point where the car is converted into an all-wheel-drive vehicle with all-wheel steering. If you hate parallel parking so much, we reckon you’d wish your car were as versatile as this.

But hey, the next time you can’t seem to parallel-park your car properly, don’t be too hard on yourself. Just remember this clip and tell yourself that sometimes, it’s not you... sometimes.
