Resident Evil Requiem is out now, and while we blot the viscera on our upcoming review, you can tide yourself over with this fact: Leon drives a Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT in it.
We always imagined that his earnings went primarily on herbs and haircare, but apparently not—after three decades of speculation, Capcom’s revealed Leon’s vehicle of choice, and it makes sense when you think about it.
The Cayenne’s ground clearance is ideal for traversing corpse-filled roads, and the 631hp engine can confidently outrun the reanimated deceased who plague his life. Plus, it has plenty of trunk space for befuddling puzzle items and ample legroom for fellow survivors.

Despite these very rational, normal conclusions, it’s an odd collab, this one. Resident Evil’s world has always been grimy and desecrated, its infrastructure shot due to the relentless experiments of Umbrella Corporation and the consequent zombie hordes. It is, then, one of the absolute last places you’d expect to see a glossy German super-SUV.

Nevertheless, here it is. You can enjoy the unbridled bizarreness of the collab via this ‘legacy’ trailer. There’s a one-off vehicle exhibited in Los Angeles, too, featuring parts crafted especially for the brand partnership. Probably easier to spy it in the game.
