Sure, Suzuki Jimny is not the most practical car around, but it’s something nice to have as, say, a weekend off-roader. The addition of the five-door model helped, but we all know that this little SUV is more for fun.
With that in mind, why not play around with it, right? After all, the three-door model already has a massive variety of aftermarket parts, kits included. Well, it was only a matter of time before the stretched version got in on it, too.

Meet the Beas+L from Japanese retro specialist Cal’s Motor, and it adds even more old-school charm to the Jimny with extra doors.

If the boxy shape of the Suzuki Jimny still isn’t classic-looking enough for you, Cal’s Motor will replace that by a more American-insipred fascia with bucketloads of chrome. It appears to draw some cues from the Chevrolet K5 Blazer from the ‘70s.

The retro-fication doesn’t end there, either. There’s a chunky chrome bumper at the front, along with a set of polished deep dish wheels that wouldn’t look out of place in an old-school 4x4. As for the rear, the fear bumper is finished in, you guessed it, more chrome, and the tail lights are replaced by round units. Really, the only thing that betrays its classic vibe are the side mirrors.
As for the rest of the SUV, it carries over unchanged from the standard Jimny. That said, the optional saddle brown seat covers add a bit more charm inside. There are other interesting options on hand, too, like the upgraded Alpine head unit, the retrofitted blind spot warning, and the front and rear drive recorders.

Also untouched is the engine. It’s still the familiar 1.5-liter K15B that makes 101hp and 138Nm. Both automatic and manual transmission models can be fitted with this kit, as all the changes are purely cosmetic.
