For car enthusiasts, a photo of the Toyota Sprinter Trueno or any of the AE86 variations brings one image to mind: Drifting.
Its low cost (at the time), simple mechanicals, and rear-wheel-drive platform made it a favorite of amateur racers, and its pop culture icon status was further cemented by Keiichi Tsuchiya and, of course, Initial D.

Today, the AE86 and its derivatives have been turned into drift cars, Initial D replicas, scale models, and more. It’s also prominently featured in video games, so it’s pretty much a permanent fixture in the virtual world, too. But now, this humble little sports coupe wants to be part of your bathroom decor.
Wait, what?

Yes, you read that right. Camshop JP, the same folks that gave the world the Toyota Hiace and Suzuki Jimny tissue boxes, has now made one for the Toyota Sprinter Trueno.

In essence, it’s a 1/16 scale model of the real deal and finished in plastic. Surprisingly, it’s not a static display as the wheels actually roll. Of course, it comes with the instantly recognizable Fujiwara Tofu Shop livery. There are two options for it, namely, one with a white hood and another with a black hood. Watanabe wheels? It has those, too.
But you’re probably wondering how to load the tissues in the first place. Simply separate the body from the ‘chassis,’ pop in your stack of tissues, and you’re all set. To pull a sheet, simply flip the roof open and wipe away.

Want one? Locally, it’s available through Blue and Yellow Diecast Toys with a preorder price of P2,998. Regular price is P3,498 and stocks are expected to arrive in March 2025.
