You know how a lot of people thought that higher excise taxes would put a damper on the Philippine automotive industry this 2018? Well, it turns out that wasn't the case.
Need proof? Then look no further than this year's Manila International Auto Show (MIAS), where carmakers continue to pour new vehicles and new life into a thriving local auto scene.
Dozens of manufacturers--whether Japanese, American, or even Russian--are getting into the action with new releases, promos, and special deals for the Filipino car-buying public.
Some of the highlights so far? Hyundai has brought in a handful of new cars (including the Kona subcompact crossover), Chevrolet has brought in the Malibu, and Ford has introduced a convertible Mustang alongside the all-new Expedition. And all that is just the tip of the iceberg, too.
If you haven't dropped by yet, you still have this weekend to do so. Want to see more of what's happening at MIAS 2018? Then press play on the video embedded above.
