No Ranger Raptor? No problem. The all-new Ford Expedition and new Mustang have been launched at the 2018 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS).

First up, let's talk about the Expedition. Besides the SUV's eye-catching new design, it also packs the model's most powerful engine to date--a 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 mill that puts out a robust 375hp at 5,000rpm and 637Nm of torque at 3,500rpm.

The aforementioned engine comes mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission, which Ford Philippines says offers quicker shifts and better response.

Inside, the Expedition flaunts a premium look with ample room for up to eight passengers and cargo. There's also a panoramic "vista" roof for occupants who want to soak in some sun and sky while cruising on the highway.

Other bits? There's a foot-activated liftgate, an intuitive touchscreen infotainment system with SYNC 3 and built-in navigation, a wireless charging system for compatible mobile devices, and an impressive 12-speaker Bang and Olufsen sound system.

Now, on to the company's muscle car. Very good news: The new convertible variant comes available with a six-speed manual transmission alongside its 5.0-liter V8 engine (460hp and 569Nm). Unfortunately, if you prefer the refreshed fastback--which comes with either the aforementioned V8 or a 2.3-liter EcoBoost (310hp and 475Nm)--you'll have to relegate shifting duties to a 10-speed automatic.

Design-wise, the Mustang now looks sharper and more aggressive. The V8 models come with a quad-tip dual exhaust, while the 2.3-liter variants have dual ones with rolled tips. There's also plenty of functional aero and LED lighting (headlights, foglights, and taillights) all around.

The Mustang also comes packing a variety of driver-assist tech, such as Lane Keeping Assist, a Blind Spot Information System, a reverse camera, and  Adaptive Cruise Control. Below are the two vehicles' official prices and variants:

Ford Expedition

* 3.5L 4WD Limited Max (with bucket seats) – P4,358,000

* 3.5L 4WD Limited Max – P4,258,000

Ford Mustang

* 2.3L EcoBoost 10-speed AT Fastback – P2,798,000

* 5.0L V8 GT 10-speed AT Fastback – P3,478,000

* 5.0L V8 GT 10-speed AT Convertible – P3,678,000

* 5.0L V8 GT 6-speed MT Convertible – P3,578,000

Too bad there was no Raptor sighting. But with these new arrivals, we don't really mind. So, are you planning to buy any of them? That V8 Mustang with the six-speed manual looks very, very tempting.
