Honda has collaborated with watchmakers to create special-edition models numerous times in the past. One from recent memory is the Casio Edifice Championship White Edition which Honda Racing helped design toward the end of last year.
Now, Honda has teamed up with Casio once again to build another limited-edition Edifice—one that features the same authentic paint used on Honda Racing cars.

The red timepiece you see above is based on the new EQB-2000HR, a chronograph inspired by the RA271, the first ever entry by a Japanese carmaker in an F1 race. The badge and the X at the center of the dial are both finished in the genuine red paint used in the Honda badges of Type R cars.
The watch also features an Alacantara band, another similarity it shares with the interiors of Type R cars. An HRC logo is embossed o the right portion of the dial, and more red bits accentuate the dark case and bezel. The caseback, meanwhile, sports the Suzuka Circuit and its 60th-anniversary logos.
