Attention all die-cast fans: Toyota, McDonald’s, and Tomica are teaming up once again for a new Happy Meal toy campaign in Japan. This time, the spotlight is on the GR GT in its full GT3 getup.
The Tomica model of the GR GT3 comes in black, and recreates many of the race-spec supercar’s defining features like aggressive aero and side-firing exhausts. McDonald’s and Gazoo Racing decals bring the whole model together for a race-ready look.

The Tomica lineup of Happy Meal toys is dropping in two waves, with the GR GT3 arriving with the first one this Friday, April 10. Other models in the first wave include a Nissan Skyline sedan police car and a Toyota TownAce light truck (featuring a big burger loaded on its bed).

McDonald’s states that several of the models have interactive features that help develop spatial reasoning and awareness in young children, such as the movement of the fire truck’s ladder or the loading and unloading of cargo on a truckbed. The overall selection of vehicles is also meant to encourage kids to think about the professions that work with them.
Yes, this includes the GR GT3. Who doesn’t love daydreaming about being a professional racer every now and then?
The second wave arriving on April 24 features more work vehicles, as well a ‘Secret Toy’ that appears to be another GR GT3—likely the one in the trailer finished in a shade of yellow similar to the iconic Golden Arches. That model features a different set of decals as well as a blacked out hood and roof.
This partnership is Toyota, McDonald’s, and Tomica’s third time bringing a GR diecast model to a Happy Meal set. The three first got together in 2020 for the GR Supra, again in 2024 for the GR Corolla and GR86, and once again last year for a Safety Car GR Supra. Will you try your luck getting your hands on Toyota’s newest supercar in diecast form?
