Porsche Design is going all-in on the watches at the moment. A couple of months ago it released one that celebrated its 75th birthday, and now there’s another that apparently pays tribute to the 911 on its 60th anniversary.
Like the 75th birthday present to itself, this watch is another take on Porsche’s Chronograph 1. It’s called the Chronograph 1 – 911 S/T, and if you’ve been paying attention in class recently you’ll recognize that moniker.

It’s inspired by the GT Line’s latest product—a discreet take on a GT3 RS that dispenses with the big wings and wild aero but keeps the naturally-aspirated 521hp 4.0-liter engine and adds a short-ratio manual gearbox. Oh, and it sheds all unnecessary weight to tip the scales at just 1,380kg. What a recipe.

But let’s not get distracted, we’re here to talk about the matching watch. And the pair genuinely will match too. You’ll only be able to buy the £10,315 (P730,000) timepiece if you have an order in for a 911 S/T, and if you do manage to get both you’ll be able to spec the rotor cap on the underside of the watch in the same color as your S/T’s magnesium alloy wheels.

Elsewhere the watch includes a lightweight, uncoated titanium case, a black dial and details to help the face look like the S/T’s retro rev counter. There’s also the choice of either a leather or titanium strap, with the former employing the same materials as used for the interior of the car.
