Tesla has just announced that it will be selling a balance bike for children—sure, why not, right? Preorders will open in the United States on July 31st, and each two-wheeler will cost $225 (around P13,900 before taxes).
The company has a history of producing some interesting merchandise, so this really shouldn’t come as a total surprise. In the Philippines, the Tesla-branded salt and pepper shakers, the Cybertruck-shaped whistle, and the Model Y-fitted mattress are all available on Tesla’s official website.
Now, a child’s training bike gets the Tesla treatment, and admittedly, it does look pretty clean. The branding is simple, with Tesla’s T logo on the front and back, and lettering across the sides. It looks to be a matte-white finish, which complements the blacked-out tires and the magnesium frame quite nicely.

Funnily enough, there is a small badge by the rear tire that says ‘Zero Emissions.’ Very clever, Elon.
According to the description, the bike is ideal for kids ages two to five, and there are five adjustable settings for ride height. However, users will need to have a minimum leg length of 35cm, while a recommended weight limit has been set at 30kg. The website shares that the bike can accommodate a maximum weight of 35kg.
Tires are recommended to be kept at 35psi—and other than that, it is a straightforward product. There is no word on whether the balance bike will be sold in the Philippines, but let us know if you would pick one up for your kid.
