As you may have already heard, BMW Motorrad has officially launched its new middleweight trio in the F900 GS Adventure, F900 GS, and F800 GS. This was the news story in case you missed it.
We’re going to take a closer look at each of these three new models and see how one differs from the other. We’ll also leave you with a bunch of photos for you guys in case you want to see more of the new bikes. Let’s get started.

Let’s begin with the biggest and priciest of the three: the F900 GS Adventure. The GSA is powered by the same 895cc twin-cylinder gasoline engine as the other models, and here it produces 105hp at 8,500rpm and 92.9Nm of torque at 6,750rpm.
Style-wise, it looks more of a tourer, with the adjustable windscreen up front to go along with the handguards that are standard across the range. It also has a familiar headlight up front. Chunkier fairings are found on the sides, while a skid plate and crash guards can be found underneath. What you see is what you get here, as the GSA also gets standard auxiliary lights up front and pannier and box mounts at the rear.
In the tech department, it gets Dynamic ESA, cruise control, and BMW’s patented digital instrument cluster, all of which are standard as well. Exclusive to the F900 GSA, however, are the 23-liter fuel tank and the fully adjustable front forks. It also comes with the standard seat height setting at 875mm.

Onto the second model, the F900 GS. This is powered by the same powertrain as the F900 GSA. It also looks slightly smaller thanks to the smaller fuel tank, and it has a much lower seat height at 835mm (standard seat height available via indent orders). It comes with most of the tech that you’ll find in the GSA, but this one is more fitted for enduro riding.
It weighs just 219kg making it the lightest of the three and gets a fully adjustable rear suspension. It’s also fitted with handlebar risers and knobby tires. It has a non-adjustable windscreen up front, and right below it is a new-look headlamp that’s only available in this model.

The lowest of the three—both price-wise and quite literally—is the F800 GS. It gets the same 895cc twin-cylinder gasoline engine as the 900s, but its powertrain only puts out 87hp and 90.7Nm. Slightly lower, but still bigger and more powerful than the F750 GS it replaces.
Much like its predecessor, though, it doesn’t get spoked wheels like its bigger siblings and it only has a tiny windscreen up front. But there are still handguards available. It also features BMW’s M Endurance chain alike the F900 GS and F900 GSA—this is the brand’s supposedly maintenance-free chain.
The F800 GS has the friendliest seat height at just 760mm. It’s a bit heavier than the F900 GS, however, at 227kg. It also still boasts a lot of the tech available across the range, including cruise control, ABS and traction control, and the digital instrument panel. Dynamic ESA and the different ride modes are optional.
Now, we’re about to leave you with more photos of these new models, but before that, we’ll run down the prices quickly one last time. All bikes come with BMW Motorrad’s five-year/500,000km warranty. Check it out below, then scroll on further to see more of these new BMW bikes.
