Taiwanese riders now have the chance to get their hands on Sanyang’s top entry in the maxi-scooter category—the 2021 SYM Maxsym 400.

The updated Maxsym 400 runs on a Euro 5-compliant 399cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine that pumps out 33.5hp at 6,750rpm and 39.5Nm of torque at 5,250rpm. It has a claimed top speed of 139kph.

Sanyang has modified the frame design to reduce weight by 18.5%, and added a roller rocker arm to lessen wear and tear on parts, generated heat, and power and fuel consumption. This particular model also comes with a traction control system, an advanced braking light, and five-position adjustable rear suspension for better maneuverability.

The Sym Maxsym 400, which is available in white and matte gray, is equipped with a front telescopic fork and rear dual-shock suspension, as well as 275mm disc brakes (two up front) plus ABS. It has a 13-liter fuel capacity and an 800mm seat height.

Its headlight, taillight, positioning light, rear direction light, and front turn signal are all LED. Other features include a keyless system, two front compartments, storage for two helmets, a tool-free adjustable windshield, a new exhaust-pipe design, and a more efficient air-intake system.

With scooters having a special place in the hearts of Filipino riders, will Sanyang eventually make the 2021 SYM Maxsym 400 available in the Philippines?
