It’s Ducati World Premiere 2025, and up next (after the new Panigale V4) is the new Multistrada lineup.

The Italian motorcycle manufacturer has officially unveiled the 2025 Multistrada range, of which the new V4, V4 S, and V4 Pikes Peak account for the majority of the changes. Let’s take a closer look.

Across the three Multis, Ducati made a few changes here and there. All three now feature new colorways with some slight adjustments made to the fairings. Overall, however, the signature sporty Multistrada styling and silhouette remain.

The 1,158cc V4 Granturismo engine the bike packs puts out an ever-healthy 170hp at 10,750rpm and 124Nm of torque at 9,000rpm. This engine requires an oil change only after every 15,000km or two years, whichever comes first, and the valve clearance is checked every 60,000km, needing as minimal maintenance as possible in the long run.

The 2025 Multistarada also comes with Power Mode Off-Road, a feature that enables dynamic throttle response while lowering maximum output to just 115hp, making the bike more apt for lower-speed, off-road riding.

The engine now also consumes 6% less fuel than before, with its rear cylinder deactivation operational not just when idling but also at certain speeds. In addition to that, the engine now has lesser carbon emissions and with the new Akrapovic silencer on the Pikes Peak is now Euro 5+ compliant.

The new Multistrada also comes with an engine brake control function which allows riders to customize the intensity of engine braking to their liking simply by the touch of a few buttons and navigating through the instrument cluster.

Ducati has also heavily tweaked the Multi’s suspension. It has repositioned the bike’s pivot by 1mm upward to reduce the squatting of the rear when accelerating under full load. It also has a completely new monoshock at the rear that guarantees more assertive pre-loading, 8mm more than the previous Multistrada V4 S.

The suspension also now has an automatic lowering device that allows the adjustment of the ride height when reducing speeds to 10kph to allow riders to straddle the bike more easily. The feature can lower the bike by 15-30mm. The suspension also reverts to the standard height when the bike goes back up to 50kph.

Working hand-in-hand with these tweaks are the suspension modes that can be selected separately from the ride mode with the push of a new dedicated button. The Multistrada V4 S also has a new Bump Detection Strategy, where sensors on the front fork send signals to the rear shock when the front end hits, say, a speed bump. Through this, the rear shock can adjust accordingly to said bump to provide more comfort to the rider.

The Multistrada also now sits on new forged alloy wheels that are not only 2kg lighter than before, but also more aerodynamic and promise improved handling. Going back to ride modes, the Multi now has a new Wet mode that joins Sport, Touring, Urban, and Enduro. The last one, however, is not available in the Pikes Peak version, as that one gets Race mode instead.

Ducati has also enhanced the forward-collision warning feature of the Multistrada, with a large warning on the instrument cluster now appearing when an imminent collision is detected.

The Philippines continues to be a strong market for Ducati, and the models that keep making their way here are further proof. We’re pretty sure that sooner rather than later, this new Multistrada will eventually arrive on our shores.
