Gogoro—one of the newest electric scooter brands in our market—took center stage at the recently concluded Makina Moto Show this weekend to showcase its newest model, the Pulse.
The Gogoro Pulse is the new upmarket model in the Taiwanese brand’s lineup. It’s got an aggressive-looking ‘AeroForce Design Concept’ and is a far cry from the first few models Gogoro launched here. The front clip features a sharp, chiseled look. More lines and edges can be seen around the vehicle, and at the rear, the Pulse gets very futuristic-looking taillights. All this isn’t merely aesthetic, though, as the scooter’s shape is designed to minimize drag and to cool the engine more efficiently.

In terms of tech, there’s plenty here. Apart from Gogoro’s swappable battery tech, the Pulse gets niceties like the massive 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster that displays various information. The display is crisp and vibrant, and it can be customized extensively according to the user’s preference.
One of the highlights of this electric scooter is its H1 Hyperdrive engine. It churns out 10.7hp (8kW) and lets the two-wheeler go from 0-50kph in just 3.05 seconds. Top speed is also listed at “well over 100kph.” This motor features a dual-cooling system and also features a Launch Control mode—the latter we’re very much eager to try out.
The Gogoro Pulse is now available in the Philippines for P450,000 and comes in white, silver, and gray. Monthly subscription plans remain the same at P799 (420km) and P999 (700km). Check out more photos of it below, or click here to learn more about the Gogoro brand and its offerings.
