In case you missed it: Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has released the Honda Dio Repsol Edition.
Weeks before the return of the Honda Dio in the Philippines, the Indian subsidiary of the Japanese manufacturer had already launched a special version of the well-loved scooter.
The Dio Repsol runs on a 109.51cc fan-cooled four-stroke SI engine that pumps out 7.66hp at 8,000rpm and 9Nm of torque at 4,750rpm. Just like the standard model, its tubeless tires come with a front and rear mechanical drum brake system. The bigger front wheel is also equipped with telescopic suspension.
Obviously, the popular scoot is donning Repsol colors—from the racing-inspired graphics and Repsol Honda Color Orange alloy wheels, to the muffler protector and split grab rail.
This limited Dio is also fitted with LED head and position lamps, a fully-digital meter, an external fuel lid, underseat storage and a front pocket, as well as passing, engine start/stop, and multifunction switches.
The beloved bike boasts an ACG silent starter, which eliminates gear meshing noise and reduces maintenance cost; a Programmed Fuel Injection system that adjusts the air-fuel mixture; Enhanced Smart Power tech for less friction and better combustion; and a side-stand engine cutoff.
The Honda Dio Repsol is priced at 69,171 Indian rupees, or around P45,000 if ever it becomes available here in the country. One can only hope...
