Suzuki is also making headlines at this year’s Esposizione Internazionale Ciclo Motociclo e Accessori (EICMA). The Japanese marque has just unveiled its newest motorcycle, and it’s a sport tourer. Another one for EICMA 2025.
This is the new Suzuki SV-7GX. While the name doesn’t quite roll off the tongue, it’s a very straightforward bike. Styling is on the more aggressive side, with an angry-looking front end. The headlight looks sharp, and lines accentuating the fairings add to the sporty stance.

Powering this sport-tourer is a 645cc liquid-cooled 90-degree V-twin that puts out 72.4 at 8,500rpm and 64Nm of torque at 6,800rpm and is mated to a six-speed constant mesh transmission. This is the same power unit used in the SV650 series. The difference here, of course, is that the seating position is more relaxed to enable a more comfortable ride.

Speaking of the seat, the saddle here is 795mm or 31.3 inches high. Ground clearance is at 135mm, while curb weight is 211kg. The bike sits on 17-inch wheels shod in tubeless tires as standard. The tank can load up to 17.4 liters of fuel.

The front features a telescopic coil-spring suspension, while the rear gets a link-type, coil-spring with preload adjustment. Dual front discs and a single rear disc handle stopping power. The SV-7GX also gets the Suzuki Intelligent Ride System or SIRS, which includes a drive mode selector, traction control, and a quick shifter. There’s also a TFT display up front. The adjustable windscreen, knuckle covers, and the rear carrier for the topbox all come as standard.
The sad news here is that Suzuki has only confirmed sales in North America and Europe starting 2026, although it also did mention that “various countries” will be getting the bike. In any case, here’s a quick question: would you get this or the new Honda CB1000GT? Apples to oranges, but we’d like to hear your thoughts.
