When Hyundai unveiled the new Elantra N Line a while back, it confirmed that a Sonata N Line was also in the works. Well, guess what? The Korean carmaker has decided to give us a preview of the upcoming turbocharged Sonata, and it looks promising.
The high-performance version of Hyundai’s popular midsize sedan gets the signature cascading grille highlighted with N Line badging. It features a new-look bumper with an aggressive-looking lower lip and air intakes.
The hood retains the sharp lines and still extends forward and straight onto the new grille. The chrome strip accentuating the headlamps and continuously flowing onto the side windows has also been left untouched.
More N Line emblems can be found on the side. Underneath, the car gets new 19-inch alloy wheels. The rear end looks the same for the most part, only it gets a slightly tweaked bumper and twin exhaust pipes to add to the overall macho appeal.
Inside, this new Sonata gets a leather-clad cabin with contrast red stitching all around. More N Line elements are present in the seats and the steering wheel. There’s also a premium Bose audio setup here.
No word on what the powertrain will be, but we’re expecting the new turbocharged mill to be more powerful than the 178hp, 2.5-liter and 150hp, 2.0-liter engines fitted in the non-N Line Sonatas.
What’s your take on Hyundai’s new N Line model? Do you dig its sporty look as much as we do? Check out more photos let us know what you think in the comments.
