When Mitsubishi first teased the new Mirage, we got a glimpse of the subcompact sporting its maker’s Dynamic Shield Design. After a week of speculation and spy shots, the updated model has finally been revealed—at least in Thailand.
Mitsubishi has finally pulled the wraps off the new Mirage and Mirage G4—the latter is known as the Attrage in the Thai market—and it looks just like we expected. It does feature Mitsubishi’s new design language, but the final product is a bit different from the images in the teaser—the new Mirage also sports foglamp housings to complement the new large grille.
While the Mirage’s 15-inch alloy wheels feature a new look, Mitsubishi has decided to make no changes under its hood. The 2020 Mitsubishi Mirage will retain the 1.2-liter three-cylinder MIVEC engine capable of 77hp and 100Nm of torque currently available in the outgoing models. This will still come mated to a five-speed manual transmission or a CVT.
Meanwhile, the interior gets a refresh, with a dark-themed cabin that comes in either fabric or leather. Both models will come with a new seven-inch infotainment system, too, which now supports Apple CarPlay connectivity.
What do you think of the new look? Are you looking forward to its arrival in the Philippine market?
