Searching for a gorgeous two-door, four-seat convertible to rove around Monaco in? Welcome to the 483hp Maserati GranCabrio, which fills in as the lineup’s entry point.

It has the same 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 as the 542bhp ‘Trofeo’, though the detune makes it four-tenths slower to 100kph, but still enough for a 4.0 second run to the century mark. Meanwhile, 16kph has been knocked off the top end for a vmax of 300kph. Still fast enough to ruin a well-crafted combover, mind.

Like the Trofeo, this one feeds that power through an eight-speed transmission and all-wheel drive, with adaptive damping and an e-diff likely cast in supporting roles. Air suspension will remain a standard fitting too; excellent news for one's bottom.

Inside, you'll find a trio of screens led by a 12.3in infotainment display, plus a steering wheel peppered with non-haptic buttons. With all that 3D-printed carbon and perforated leather, it certainly looks glam enough for the Riviera.
