If there’s one Porsche product that has seen a glow up in years, it’s the Panamera. The first generation model made its premiere in late 2008 with rather mixed reactions towards its styling.

But by the second generation, it looked sleeker, sharper, and more aggressive than its predecessor. Finally, the Porsche Panamera went as well as it looked. The third generation debuted late last year, and build on the strong foundations of its predecessor.

Now, the all-new model has finally made its way to the Philippines. PGA Cars, the official distributor of Porsche cars in the country has opened up the order books for its executive fastback.

In terms of design, it’s an evolution of the last model. But this time around, it takes some cues from the Taycan with its more dynamic looking front end that features a set of eye-catching headlights. Gentle curves grace its flanks, and the redesigned Panamera retains its distinct lifback profile. Over at the back, the full-width tail lights slice away the darkness.

Inside, you’re greeted by its triple screen dashboard layout. The main instrument cluster has its own separate shroud, but the infotainment screen expands to the passenger side. Just like in the Cayenne, there is one display for the driver and another for the passenger, all seamlessly displayed in one panel.

A high-set center console gives a cockpit-like feel, something the Panamera has had from the start. It extends all the way to the back to give the rear passengers individual bucket seats. Back there, the passengers are treated to their own set of controls mounted in the middle.

Locally, the Panamera can be configured to individual specifications. Clients may add specific options, but as it is, the Panamera is loaded. Comfort seats are standard, so is a power tailgate, a premium sound system, just to name a few. That said, it’s also available with a Sport Chrono package, soft-close doors, 14-way adjustable seats, and seat ventilation.

For now, at least, there is just one powertrain option for the Philippine-spec Porsche Panamera. Under the hood is a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6. It may not be a V8, but the boosted V6 still packs a punch with 353hp and 500Nm of torque. It’s then mated to an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission with power sent to the rear wheels.
