All-new Mitsubishi Strada

While Filipino pickup fans are busy deciding which one to buy among the Ford Ranger, the Chevrolet Colorado, the Isuzu D-Max, the Mazda BT-50, the Toyota Hilux and even the upcoming Nissan Navara, Mitsubishi Thailand has just given them more reason to be confused by launching the all-new Triton--which, of course, you know as the Strada in our market.

Measuring 5,280mm long, 1,815mm wide and 1,780mm tall, the new Strada is powered (at least in Thailand) by these engines: 2.4-liter four-cylinder 4N15 MIVEC diesel with turbo intercooler (179hp; 430Nm) and 2.4-liter four-cylinder 4G64 gasoline (126hp; 194Nm), mated to either a five-speed manual or a six-speed manual or a five-speed automatic transmission.

We will fly to Japan next week to drive this thing, and we will give you our first driving impressions as soon as we can. In the meantime, enjoy these photos.
