Last year, Audi revealed the all-new Q5 at the Paris Motor Show. Naturally, the first batch that shipped out was for European customers. Now, the German carmaker has brought its compact crossover to our side of the world with a regional debut at the Bangkok International Motor Show.
The all-new Q5 has a sportier and more aggressive exterior look compared to its predecessor. Inside, it features an all-new architecture and added tech. The Thai-spec models will come with a choice of two engines: a 2.0-liter TDI with 190hp, and a 2.0-liter gasoline mill with 252hp. Both are mated to Audi's vaunted Quattro all-wheel drive.
Also on display in Bangkok are refreshed versions of the Q2 and A5 Coupe. Like the Q5, the new Q2 is a small SUV with a sporty exterior, one that's designed to appeal to a younger audience. The one Thai-spec variant features a 1.4-liter TFSI with 150hp.
The new A5 features a wider stance for enhanced performance and comfort. The S line version will have a choice of 18- or 19-inch wheels, and a 2.0-liter mill with 190hp. The Quattro S line variant, meanwhile, also sports a 2.0-liter but one that puts out 252hp.
No word yet if or when these new vehicles will hit our shores, but their presence in Thailand is a good sign.
