Last week, BYD confirmed it was bringing the Ti 7 PHEV over to the UK, taking the competition directly to Land Rover’s home turf. Now, per its appearance in the Department of Energy’s list of recognized EVs, the big, boxy SUV could be making its way to the Philippine market too.
The BYD Ti 7 has two indicated variants: the 2WD Pro and the 4WD Ultra. Both models come equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine which makes 154hp and 225Nm of torque. This ICE supports a single electric motor making 268hp and 315Nm of torque in the Pro, or a pair of electric motors good for a combined 483hp and 620Nm of torque in the Ultra.
In electric-only driving, the Pro model extracts 105km of CLTC range from its 26.6kWh LFP battery. The Ultra variant has a bigger 35.6kWh LFP battery to support its dual motors, which translates to 130km of electric-only CLTC range.

For those curious about its size, the BYD Ti 7 is a seven-seater that measures 4,999mm long, 1,995mm wide, and 1,865mm tall—very similar dimensions to the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado and Ford Everest. Compared to its relatives, the Denza B5 and B8, the Ti 7 sits somewhere in between the two rugged SUVs.
No hard details yet on confirmed features, but it’s reasonable to expect a well-appointed interior and tech package. Plenty of soft-touch material is a given with Chinese SUVs at this point, plus BYD’s DiPilot ADAS suite will likely support the vehicle. Pictures also show a panoramic sunroof to let plenty of light in.
As far as pricing goes, the 2WD Pro stickers for 179,800 Chinese yuan (around P1.626 million) while the 4WD Ultra retails for 219,800 Chinese yuan (around P1.988 million).
