The Chevrolet Trailblazer is the one SUV that has managed to make inroads in the midsize SUV market dominated by Toyota and Mitsubishi. From January to June this year, it sold a total of 2,211 units, placing it third in its category.
To further strengthen the vehicle's market position, Chevrolet Philippines is introducing a new Trailblazer variant. It’s officially called the Trailblazer 2.8 4x2 LTX, and at P1,588,888, it will bridge the gap between the LT variant and the top-spec 4x4 version. This expansion will give buyers more options when it comes to choosing their Trailblazer flavor.
New for this LTX variant are 18-inch alloy wheels, leather seats, backing-up camera with sensors, and a chromatic rear-view mirror with a 4.3-inch LCD monitor for the reverse camera. Subtle aesthetic improvements include blacked-out B-pillars and chrome trim around the foglights and the side windows.
This Trailblazer LTX retains the 2.8-liter four-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine, still the most powerful in its class with 200hp and 500Nm. All this might is balanced by safety features like ABS and EBD, with coil springs and a multilink rear suspension system ensuring that the passengers experience a car-like ride.
