After debuting in the Philippines, Chinese carmaker Denza has yet to launch its first vehicle. However, thanks to recently published homologation papers from the Land Transportation Office, we now have a good idea of what the brand’s first release could be.
According to the office’s database, two variants of the D9 minivan received approval, and we wouldn’t be surprised if these ended up being Denza’s introductory products. What’s more interesting is that Denza Philippines could offer its minivan in two flavors, and with that, two different price points.

The D9’s probable main competitors, the Toyota Alphard and the seven-seater Lexus LM, are only offered in single variants, which may give buyers less flexibility in terms of pricing. In fact, those eyeing a White Pearl Mica Alphard will need to pay an additional P20,000 for that particular finish.

Like its sister vehicle, the BYD eMAX 9, the D9 is listed with Advance and Premium variants. On the eMAX 9, the higher-end Premium spec comes with a full suite of driver-assistance features and a few more bells and whistles. The Advance trim comes in at a hefty P300,000 less, giving consumers a more affordable option without having to shop from another brand. However, in the case of Denza and the D9, affordability might not be its top priority.
We got to check out the D9 in Bangkok in 2025, and it is hard to imagine what a more basic version would look like. Denza has not confirmed if these are indeed its maiden offerings—and so, we’ll just have to wait and see.
