Touted as the first American sports car, the Chevrolet Corvette celebrates its 60th anniversary this year. With this milestone, enthusiasts all over the world have a reason to rejoice.

At the ongoing Trans Sport Show at the SMX Convention Center, the Manila Sports Car Club has a display that Corvette fans can feast their eyes on. For the big aficionado eyeing a collector\'s item, two Indianapolis 500 pace cars are up for sale: a 1978 Chevrolet Corvette C3 and a 1995 Chevrolet Corvette C4.

We learned that the pace cars were once owned by a US company. Kept in a climate-controlled environment in the US, the cars were bought by Filipinos and have been kept as displays in the country for one-and-a-half years, according to Mikey de Dios of the Manila Sports Car Club. \"Every time someone borrows them, they\'re transported on a flat bed,\" he said. \"We don\'t let the mileage go up.\"

Still in their stock and original forms, both cars are on display at the Trans Sport Show. The 1978 Corvette has a price tag of P6.2 million, while the 1995 Corvette costs P5.3 million. Any takers?
