Yes, folks, the new Ford EcoSport has arrived. Ford Philippines recently held the official launch to welcome the new iteration of its best-selling model.
There are expected aesthetic changes like the new front grille, headlights, and foglight housings. Inside, you get a bigger display and other differences here and there. But the big news is that there's a new turbo engine: a 1.0-liter EcoBoost, which should see this revamped crossover deliver a sportier experience.
So, how much will the new EcoSport cost? Here are the official prices and variants:
*1.0-liter EcoBoost Titanium AT - P1,168,000
*1.5-liter Trend AT - P1,028,000
*1.5-liter Trend MT - P968,000
*1.5-liter Ambiente MT - P918,000
That's quite a price bump from the previous version. The old top-of-the-line 1.5-liter Titanium AT cost P1,058,000, so the new engine will cost over P100,000 more. Even the base Ambiente MT, which used to cost P848,000, is now P70,000 more expensive. The increases shouldn't come as a surprise, though. The new tax package hasn't exactly been friendly towards our favorite vehicles, especially the new ones.
