Will the Ford Everest ever gain a Raptor version? While there has been some clamor for it, it doesn’t seem likely that it’ll ever happen. Thankfully, that small matter has been addressed in a way.
Making its debut in Australia, the Ford Everest Tremor brings more excitement to the range as an off-road oriented variant. This is probably as close as we’ll ever get to a Raptorized Everest.

This isn’t some cosmetic styling package, either. The Tremor gains proper upgrades for off-roading. It even packs a V6 turbodiesel engine for good measure.
The Tremor beefs up the Everest’s suspension by giving it a wider track and greater ground clearance. Dampers are courtesy of Bilstein, and springs are of the heavy-duty kind. It rides on unique wheels that are shod in General Grabber AT3 all-terrain tires. Ground clearance is now at 251mm, up by 26mm from 225mm.

Other off-road upgrades? The Ford Everest Tremor also gets an additional off-road mode. It adds Rock Crawl Mode in its Terrain Management System on top of the six included from the standard models. The digital instrument cluster adds more off-road relevant displays.

For the aesthetic enhancements, it ditches chrome for Boulder Grey accents. To accommodate the wider wheel track, it gets chunkier fender flares. It also gains a proper skid plate at the front. Tremor badging is kept to a minimum with small ones placed on the front doors and tailgate. There are also interior changes to differentiate it from standard Everest variants.
As mentioned, the 3.0-liter V6 turbodiesel motivates this SUV. It’s good for 247hp and 600Nm of torque. It then shifts with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Unlike the Adventure Pack we featured last time, the only way to get this model is with four-wheel drive.

We say it’s a great addition to the Ford Everest lineup. And now would be a good time to start writing petition letters to Ford Philippines to bring it here.
