Ford Philippines can probably fill a Ranger's cargo bed full of cash, with all the sales it has made from its popular pickup. And now it's poised to push even more Rangers out of its dealers' lots with the introduction of a new variant.
Today, Ford announced the availability of the 2.2-liter Ranger Trekker variant. It's essentially an XLT-spec Ranger with a manual gearbox and equipped with additional accessories and an exclusive Trekker decal. The unique features come from specially selected suppliers, and include a manual hard tonneau cover, chrome sports bar, black carry bars, and an under-rail bed-liner with a four-tie-down hook set.
The Ranger Trekker is available at all Ford dealers around the country, and you can have them in any color you want--as long as those colors are Aurora Blue and Arctic White. Only 225 units will be sold in our market at a cost of P1,139,000 per unit.
If the demand for these Rangers is anything like the clamor for the Wildtrak variants, you'd better head to your nearest dealer now if you're interested.

Ford is also adjusting the costs of its scheduled maintenance service inclusive of parts and labor. The goal is to realign its competitive position in the market and provide the customers a better offer when it comes to their scheduled maintenance. The new adjustments will maintain the current schedule of maintenance visits to every six months or 10,000km. On average, the current five-year cost of maintenance for a Ford vehicle is nearly P120,000. Under the new program, this figure will be reduced to just under P100,000.
