In case you haven’t heard, Geely has been working on a big and burly plug-in hybrid SUV called the Galaxy Cruiser 700. The Chinese carmaker has remained coy on details and specifications, but it recently released more production-ready photos.
These new images should give us a better idea of what the Galaxy Cruiser 700 will look like in the metal, as we also wait for more concrete information. At the time of writing, we know that it will be equipped with three electric motors, a 4x4 drive system, LiDAR support, and about 1,114hp. Geely also says that its SUV will extensively utilize artificial intelligence.

That’s already quite a lot, but the Galaxy Cruiser 700 will need a bit more of it to compete with the likes of the Jetour GAIA G700 and the Denza B8. We still have no visual on the interior, but as with its segment partners, we can expect a five- to seven-seater cabin, with captain’s seats and a refrigerator, probably.

Speculation aside, this Geely has one of the more neater faces in its class. There isn’t too much going on, with retro-looking headlamps and a clean light bar. It still has the appropriate garnishes for an off-road SUV, such as thicker bumpers, additional support on the side skirts, and a spare tire.

Notably, the British Racing Green hue looks very clean, especially on a larger silhouette. We hope this color option makes it to full production and perhaps to other models as well.
Like what Denza and GAIA respectively do for BYD and Jetour, the Galaxy Cruiser 700 will introduce Geely to a more premium, upmarket segment. Locally, the B8 and the G700 both retail for over P4 million, and the Geely’s SUV could very well enter that price range as well. More as we get it.
