Jetour Auto Philippines has effectively entered the luxury SUV market with the arrival of the plug-in hybrid GAIA G700. Priced at a premium P4.488 million, Jetour’s latest offering enters the country as a competitor against the likes of the Toyota Land Cruiser and the electrified BMW X3.
The crowd at the 2026 Manila International Auto Show also witnessed the launch of Jetour’s sub-brand, GAIA. An acronym for Generation of All-Terrain Intelligent Architecture, the new nameplate features a platform that essentially elevates the current i-DM plug-in hybrid powertrain. On the G700 in particular, Jetour outfitted it with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, dual motors, and a 34.13kWh battery. The powertrain is then mated to a two-speed dedicated hybrid transmission.

Total system output is rated at an intriguing 904hp and 1,135Nm of torque for the body-on-frame SUV. In terms of driving range, the G700 is said to be good for about 1,200km, with 100-138km of fully electric motoring.

We first encountered the GAIA brand and the G700 at Auto Shanghai 2025, where its previous generation launched alongside the smaller G600 and the much larger G900. However, all GAIA models are loaded with features and Jetour’s most robust driving technology.
These include leather upholstery for the G700’s six-seater cabin, a full advanced driver-assistance suite, an electric all-wheel-drive system, and active noise reduction for a quieter ride. The off-road driving settings are also said to be loaded with various modes for terrain and more adventurous rides. We’ll be sure to test those out once we get behind the wheel for a proper review.
