Geely also has a display at the 2025 Bangkok International Motor Show wherein it showcased its new electric pickup, the Riddara RD6. This was launched in Thailand late last year.
Riddara is the sub-brand, RD6 is the model name. This pickup is fully electric and has a very quirky design to it. As our teammate Anton Andres pointed out in our video, it looks a bit like an Okavango. True enough, portions of the front end—albeit looking a bit more futuristic—do resemble Geely’s MPV. The rear, though, looks like an Okavango with its entire top chopped off.

Interestingly, it shares more with the Okavango in the sense that it sits on a unibody platform, whereas other pickups more commonly have a ladder-on-frame chassis. This should help give the pickup a smoother and more planted ride.

Over there in Thailand, the RD6 comes in multiple variants with both 2WD and 4WD configurations available. The maximum range varies depending on the trim level, with the base starting at 350km+ of range.
The pickup also has the works—V2L capabilities and fast charging, you name it. It has the same capabilities as fully equipped modern-day EV. With new electrified models like the BYD Shark 6 DMO making its way to our market, do you think Geely’s Riddara RD6 could work here, too?
