Genesis will be expanding its range with full-size SUVs in the near future. Hyundai Motor Company recently shared its plans for the next five years, highlighted by an overall goal to hit 5.55 million in unit sales. As part of that goal, the company’s luxury brand will be tasked to reach 350,000 annual sales by 2030, through new products and markets.
Specifically, Genesis is considering bringing the off-road-focused X Gran Equator concept to life—introducing itself to the full-size SUV segment and potential customers of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class and the Lexus LX. A production version of the X Gran Equator would see a bespoke, four-seater vehicle riding on 24-inch beadlock wheels, all tied together in a futuristic shell. With Hyundai also set to debut new range-extended electric vehicles, this type of powertrain could also be utilized in the next Genesis release.

The Korean brand then plans to expand further in the United States, China, and other emerging markets. Genesis is also set to open in 20 more European countries over the next few years.
