The Toyota Corolla is without a doubt one of the Japanese carmaker's most respected—not to mention most memorable—nameplates. But can you imagine the model sporting a hatch instead of a trunk, like our market is accustomed to? That would be so retro.
If the idea above is one that piques your interest, you'd better tune in to the Geneva International Motor Show early next month. The company is revealing a next-generation Corolla hatch, known in Europe as the Auris, and says it will showcase a dynamic exterior design together with a new 2.0-liter hybrid powertrain.
Toyota has been mum about anything else, and only released a single, shadow-draped teaser image of the hatchback's side profile. We like what we see so far though—even if it is just a sporty, sleek roofline and modern taillights and headlights.
So yeah, there's something else to look forward to from Toyota at the show. Though we all know where everyone's attention will be glued to. Hint: It's the world premiere of what is most likely the next-gen Supra.
