When it comes to special variants, few local carmakers can match the enthusiasm Honda Cars Philippines has for releasing them. It seems like the Japanese manufacturer never runs out new colors, exterior enhancements or interior features to add to its vehicles.
For 2018, the company has announced it is releasing limited edition models of the Honda City, BR-V and Odyssey to "satisfy the needs and cater to the dynamic lifestyles of the Filipino customer and families." If you've been planning to buy any of these vehicles, these special units might interest you.
First up, the new City 1.5 Sport CVT. The popular subcompact sedan gets new front, side and rear underspoilers outside for a sleeker look, as well as two additional front tweeters for a better audio experience. It also comes with a new Sport Edition emblem to further distinguish it from standard City units. The price is set at P898,000, and it's available in Modern Steel Metallic, Taffeta White, or Ruby Red Pearl.
Meanwhile, the BR-V 1.5 Touring CVT boasts additional exterior bits like a tailgate spoiler, daytime running lights, and a shark fin antenna up top. It also comes with parking sensors and, like with the City, a special Touring Edition emblem to set it apart from normal BR-Vs. Its price tag is P1,058,000 and it comes in Modern Steel Metallic, Taffeta White or Lunar Silver Metallic.
Lastly, there's the new Honda Odyssey EX-V CVT. Only 45 units of this special family van will be up for sale, with a price of P2,428,000. It will be available in Platinum White Pearl (additional P20,000), Crystal Black Pearl or Super Platinum Metallic. Its interior is covered in nice leather, and will come with cradle captain seats and a handful of driver assist tech.
Now, running the risk of sounding like an informercial: "But wait, there's more!" All three special edition variants will be offered with a P50,000 discount. So the company is calling on all those interested to act fast.
What do you think of Honda's new limited edition variants? Are their additional features enough to convince you to choose one of them over their 'standard' counterparts? Or the competition?
