We maybe fresh off New Year celebrations but automakers are hitting the ground running. There’s no rest for these brands, and Hyundai has a new model we can all anticipate soon.

No, it’s not a performance model. It’s a more practical offering this time around. The car in question is the popular Hyundai Creta subcompact crossover.

“What a facelift already?”, you ask? Well, the current Creta is already nearing five years old, making it due for a bit of an update. By the looks of it, the 2024 model might get major updates, all while retaining the current platform.

The teaser photos show the front and rear of small crossover, along with a sketch of its interior. At first glance, it seems like the front end gets a major update with an entirely new fascia. There are shades of the Palisade present, along with boxy cues from the smaller Exter.

The major changes don’t end there as the tailgate appears to be reshaped, too. It looks more simplified with a flatter face and a higher license plate holder. The tail lights have also been redesigned featuring a higher light bar.

Inside, the dashboard gets totally redesigned. The 2024 Hyundai Creta goes all digital with a widescreen panel. Because of that, the dash gets reshaped and air-conditioning vents have been repositioned to accommodate this major update. Hyundai even made the effort of giving the crossover new door panels.

Despite being a preview, Hyundai already mentioned engine options. It includes a 1.5-liter turbo, 1.5-liter gas, and 1.5-liter turbodiesel. No power figures were given yet. Transmission options consist of a 6-speed manual, IVT (Intelligent Variable Transmission), 7-speed DCT (Dual Clutch Transmission) and 6-speed automatic transmission.
