Hyundai has just introduced a new variant for its flagship SUV, the Palisade. This new package gives this already-upmarket offering even more premium features both inside and out, and we’re not complaining.
The new Calligraphy trim gets aesthetic features that are exclusive to the variant, such as a slightly redesigned front grille and new 20-inch alloy wheels. Other exterior updates include new side-door garnishes, rear-accent lighting signature, puddle lamps, and the ultra-wide LED center brake light mounted high up.
Inside is the usual premium cabin clad in a plethora of soft-touch materials finished with an incredibly sleek white colorway. The door panels are fitted with quilted leather, there’s a microfiber suede headliner up top, and the steering wheel is finished with perforated leather.
No changes to the engine have been made here, so the Palisade Calligraphy still comes with a 3.8-liter V6 that generates 291hp and 355Nm of torque. It’s mated to an eight-speed automatic that sends power to all four wheels.
Extra features in this new Palisade include a 10.25-inch navigation system with multiple device-connection capabilities as well as wireless smartphone connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other goodies that complete the package are the highway drive assist feature, a SiriusXM radio, and a driver talk function, among others.
