JMC isn’t the only new brand in Astara’s portfolio that’s taking its turn in the limelight at this year’s Manila International Auto Show (MIAS)—JAC is also showcasing its revamped lineup in the market.
The new JAC roster is comprised of three SUVs: the JS4, JS6, and JS8 Pro. Arguably the highlight of these is the JS8 Pro, JAC’s supposedly affordable seven-seater SUV.

The vehicle boasts a lot of style, with an absolutely massive grille and aggressive-looking headlamps adorning the front end. A few dashes of black plastic trim accentuate the side profiles. It also sits on two-tone alloy wheels.
The JS8 Pro also gets an abundance of amenities inside, including a 12.3-inch instrument cluster paired with a 12.3-inch floating head unit. Under the hood, it packs a 1.5-liter turbocharged gasoline engine. As for the price? It could be priced from P1.35 to P1.38 million.

The second of the three SUVs is the JS6, the brand’s premium flagship model. This five-seater features classier styling with a still-stylish but more subdued front clip. It also has a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine under its hood, as well as a 24.6-inch dual-screen display inside the cabin. It might go for P1.38 to P1.4 million.
As for the JS4—also a five-seater—this one looks like a smaller sibling to the JS6. The headlamps and the front bumper look different, but the two have very similar lines and creases on the front clip. This one might fall around P980k to P1.03 million.

For the two pickups, JAC has the T8 Pro and the T9. The former is engineered for tough terrain, with a ground clearance of 210mm and a maximum wading depth of 1,200mm. It’s powered by a 2.0-liter CTI engine capable of churning out 167hp and 410Nm of torque. Prices for this could range from P1 to P1.25 million.
The T9 gets the same engine and boasts the same ground clearance and water-wading capability, but it has a massive 10.4-inch vertical screen and a seven-inch LCD instrument cluster. The T9 range could be start at P1.3 million and top out at P1.535 million.
