Jetour has officially unveiled its F700 PHEV off-road-focused pickup truck (also called the Zongheng F700). This pickup will debut at Auto Guangzhou in November and is expected to go up against the BYD Shark 6 DMO.
As reported by CarNewsChina.com, the F700 will feature a turbocharged 2.0-liter gasoline engine producing 208hp and 340Nm of torque—the same engine found in the G700 SUV. While output wasn’t specified for the F700’s electric motors, based on the G700 Jetour was able to achieve a total output of 904hp and 1,135Nm with a similar setup.

The pickup will use a 4C double-layer Shenxing battery pack developed by CATL, and is said to charge from 20% to 80% in just 10 minutes. The plug-in hybrid system allows the F700 to achieve a combined range of 1,300km.

The F700 is a large truck, measuring 5,495mm long, 2,050mm wide, and 1,985 tall, with a 3,350mm wheelbase. It looks the part as well, with boxy dimensions and rectangular design elements adding to its road presence. Similar to the G700, there’s definitely some Toyota Land Cruiser design inspiration to be seen here.

As for the interior, we’ve only seen one photo so far. But based on the panoramic display, touchscreen, A/C vents, and center console, we’ll say that the F700 will probably share the same interior layout as the G700, minus the optional third row.
As of writing, Jetour has not announced the F700’s official price or lineup. We’ll probably have to wait until its November launch or until the brand decides to give the public another, more detailed sneak peek. Until then, what are your initial thoughts on the Jetour F700 PHEV? How much do you think Jetour should price it if it wants to compete with BYD?
