Kia’s local electrified lineup continues to grow. Earlier this year, it launched the all-new EV5, the electric crossover that would go up against the likes of the Toyota bZ4X. Now, it has unveiled the all-new EV3, a more budget-friendly offering that seeks to corner a different portion of the market.
As is standard with the Kia EV lineup, the lower the number, the smaller the vehicle. That makes the EV3 smaller than the EV5, with the former measuring 4,300mm long. It goes up against the likes of the GAC Aion UT.
The EV3 undeniably looks like a member of the Kia EV family. It closely resembles the EV5, sporting the signature Star-Map lighting Tiger face up front. At the rear is a sharp-looking tailgate with a very familiar light signature also seen in its stablemates.

At the heart of this EV is a 58.3kWh lithium ion battery that powers the 201hp, 283Nm electric motor. The battery supports AC charging of up to 11kW, and recharging from 10% to 80% will take 5hr20min. With the maximum 350kW DC charging, the same can be achieved in just 29min. This entire setup promises a maximum estimated range of 511km on a single charge.
Creature comforts and safety tech are also available here, including a full suite of ADAS. A pair of 12.3-inch displays are mounted on the dash, with the one at the center being the touchscreen infotainment system that comes with a six-speaker setup.
The all-new Kia EV3 stickers for P1.898 million for the lone GL variant. Color options come aplenty, namely: Aventurine Green, Terra Cotta, Frost Blue, Ivory Silver, Shale Grey, Aurora Black Pearl, and Snow White Pearl.
